Peace, Love, Prevention & Colonoscopy
If you were born in the 1970s… it may be time to get scoped!

Staying on top of screening is one of the most powerful ways to protect your health.
March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month — the perfect time to focus on prevention, early detection, and staying groovy about your health.
Colorectal cancer is one of the most preventable cancers, yet it remains a leading cause of cancer deaths. The good news? Screening saves lives. Colonoscopies can detect precancerous polyps before they turn into cancer — and when caught early, colorectal cancer is highly treatable.
When should you get a colonoscopy?
- Age 45 – Screening is now recommended starting at 45 for average-risk adults.
- Earlier than 45 – If you have a family history of colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, or certain genetic conditions.
- Every 10 years – If your initial colonoscopy is normal (your provider may recommend a different schedule based on findings).
