Mary Isiminger became an occupational therapist because she has always been passionate about helping others achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life. She believes occupational therapy is uniquely positioned to help people overcome challenges and participate in the activities that matter most to them. At St. Vincent Health, Mary provides individualized care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, helping patients safely regain the skills needed for everyday living after illness or injury while supporting their continued progress toward long-term independence. She also provides pediatric occupational therapy, using play-based interventions to help children build confidence and develop the sensory, motor, self-care, and social skills that allow them to thrive at home, in school, and in their communities.

Mary values the close-knit spirit of Leadville and appreciates St. Vincent Health's commitment to providing specialized care close to home. She believes occupational therapy plays a vital role in rural communities by helping individuals remain active, age safely in place, return to work, and participate fully in community life. Her philosophy of care is rooted in collaboration, recognizing that every patient has unique goals, strengths, and life experiences. By listening first and creating individualized treatment plans, Mary strives to empower each patient to achieve meaningful success. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, hiking, spending time with friends, exploring local markets, listening to music, and creating healthy meals in the kitchen.
