Driven by a lifelong passion for helping others, Joanie Yapkowitz, RN, chose nursing as a meaningful way to express her caring nature and commitment to service. With over two decades in Colorado, Joanie considers herself a true mountain girl - deeply connected to the natural beauty and tight-knit communities where she works and lives.

Joanie brings deep connection to her role as Case Manager at St. Vincent Health as well. While she may not be at the bedside, she finds great fulfillment in advocating for patients behind the scenes - ensuring they receive the resources, support, and continuity of care they need for a successful recovery.

Outside of work, Joanie enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband Scott and their beloved dog, Stella Blue. Together, they make the most of Colorado’s seasons through cross-country skiing, mountain biking, and embracing all that mountain life has to offer.
